Superbilling is the process of submitting billing to your insurance company after you have already paid a provider for services. It allows you to see the provider of your choice, even if they are not covered by your insurance and obtain reimbursement. The provider will have to assign a diagnosis to you. You will pay fees for counseling at the time of the session. Your provider will then provide you a superbill form with all appropriate information for you to submit to your insurance company. The insurance company will then reimburse you based on out of network rates or deductibles. You will need to contact your insurance company to understand the specifics of your plan.

Many people experience problems that can feel isolating and defeating. Your counselor can discuss your concerns with you and discuss what treatment may look like or entail. You can always schedule a consultation with a counselor to discuss treatment and how effective it might be. Whether or not counseling works depends on how much effort the client puts in, consistency in attending appointments, utilizing techniques taught, and what type of concern is being addressed.
