Krista L Torres, MEd, LPC-S, NCC, RPT-S, CCCPT, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She is the current President-Elect for the High Plains Chapter for Texas Association for Play Therapy. Krista has 24 years of experience in working with adults, children, and adolescents. Krista began her mental health career, working extensively with individuals who are in crisis or who have a severe or persistent mental illness. Krista has worked in jail settings with special populations, school settings with special educational needs, and preschools with children experiencing disruptive behavior.
Krista received her Master of Education in Community Counseling from Texas Tech University in 2008 and her license and board certification in 2010. Krista received her supervision license in 2014 and then received her Registered Play Therapist Supervisor Certification in 2018.
Krista works with adults, parents, and children/adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, ADHD behavioral issues, simple and complex trauma, performance enhancement, and weight loss issues. Krista is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist. Krista is AutPlay Certified, TF-CBT trained, EMDR Trained, Child-Parent Relational Therapy Trained, and Sandtray trained.
Krista's rate per session is $125. She currently accepts First Care Commercial, Baylor Scott & White, Tricare West/Prime, and TeamChoice. For all other clients, claims will be considered out of network, and you can request a superbill for insurance reimbursement. Learn more about super billing here.

Nigel Torres, LPC-S, LCDC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Nigel has 26 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in the areas of depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, ADHD behavioral issues, and Autism. Nigel has worked in the mental health field, assisting individuals with severe mental illnesses and substance abuse. Nigel received his Master's Degree in Counseling.
Nigel's rate per session is $125. He currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tricare West, First Care Commercial, Baylor Scott & White, TeamChoice, and all Medicaids.
